Barhi or Berhi date is yellow in color and eaten usually fresh.  Fully grown date usually round in shape and has diameter between 15 to 25 mm.  When fresh date is eaten it has slight sour and sugary tate but when get fully mature it starts to change color to brown and it has high sugary taste.  The best time to eat such date is the stage when its color start changing to brown but that depend on the individaual prefrence.
